El Bohio was delicious and authentic! I loved the decor, and the staff was very friendly. We had Cuban sandwiches and a tamale. The sandwiches were great but would suggest asking for extra sauce as it was a bit dry. On my quest for the perfect Cuban I would rate this sandwich a 3.5. Their homemade hot sauce however, was amazing! It wasn't too spicy but had great flavor. The tamale was good as well, I personally like them with a little more meat but for the price you can't beat it. I would definitely return here when I'm back in the area!

Grew up in S. Florida but moved away years ago I was craving authentic Cuban food and El Bohio didn't disappoint. Brought back so many great memories. Food was delicious and very reasonably priced. Staff always had a smile.

Awesome little joint. Great food, exceptional service. Highly recommend. I found this spot on business trip while looking for a quick bite for lunch. The staff were welcoming and helpful, the food was amazing, and the coffee out of this world.

You CAN NOT go wrong eating here. Best "bang for your buck" when it comes to Cuban food in the US ;NYC, NJ Hudson, Passic, Bergen counties, and Pennsylvania in the Mt. Pocono region plus Miami Dade county and Palm Beach County. Prove me wrong. This visit, a Monday night , i ordered ox tail, white rice, black beans, a Heineken 00 (non alcohol beer), a Perrier and for an extra 1 USD i paid under 33 USD. BEST value, great tasting, excellent service, and an amazingly FL Cuban decoration...lol. vea

Omg! Wow! Garlic Shrimp was incredible! I think I could spoon eat the sauce alone . Everything was fresh and came out fairly quick. Being the Cigar smoker I am, I was extremely pleased delighted and impressed at a separate area for us who enjoy a fine smoke. I didnt have the time to kick back and enjoy a nice Davidoff 6000 today, but I will next time we go!

12/15/24—-Updated on 12/23/24----The day after we disembarked from our cruise, I woke up feeling like I’d survived a marathon—probably because disembarking was its own marathon. Add to that the adventure of waiting 7 hours for a hotel room (thank Christ we were moved to a better one!), and you can imagine the kind of exhaustion I was dealing with. Anyway, as my Florida trip was winding down, I found myself savoring a good cup of cafe con leche and realizing I still had one more chance for some authentic Cuban food. So, despite an office Christmas party looming on the horizon, I decided to sneak in an early breakfast. The plan? Eat early, digest everything, and show up at the party looking respectable (and not stuffed like a cruise ship buffet victim). The Cuban joint we found was just beyond some train tracks, which felt oddly charming. The restaurant was small and cozy, with a wine rack in the corner and windows so wide open you could see and feel everything happening outside. A little chilly? Sure. But I kind of liked it—it added character. We were probably the first customers of the day, which meant the birds hanging around outside noticed us too. One even hopped over, looking curious but refusing to dine with us. Guess we weren’t bird-friendly enough! Breakfast was great—big portions, of course. My husband actually begged for a smaller serving but was politely denied. After a cruise and three days in Florida, we weren’t exactly in the mood for giant plates of food, but it seems no restaurant believes in "small portions." Maybe they think the leftovers are part of the experience. The coffee was excellent—rich and smooth—and the service was just as good. Prices were comfortable too, which is always a bonus. Would I go back? Definitely, if I’m in town and nearby. I’ve also started to enjoy revisiting the same places because, let’s be real, it saves me the effort of writing a new review!
